Trabandt!
What about Macro@Goethe?
Trabandt to Goethe U? If true, impressive.
It's true
That would mean Goethe for sure has the best Macro group in Germany. Too many loners in Berlin macro, can see why he would not want to stay.

I checked his CV; had expected more... not bad, but impressive?
He is a nice person and smart. And a good hire for a department like Frankfurt, if only because he is apparently well-connected to the NW crowd (and the Fed, of course). Appears overall Pareto improving (he will likely get a significantly better pay). Should we move on now?

^This.

The notion of hiring a person for connections is laughable at best. I think he is an ok hire for Frankfurt, but I was surprised they did not hire someone more independent.
Rudi was also fired by Michigan for violating university rules. Quite a guy.Really? Any docs that prove he was fired by Goethe and Michigan?
Just go through his Twitter history (take the week off). He said so himself, though might have been in jest. But that tweet actually had such a bitter undertone, it was probably the truth.
He was not fired anywhere. He was Beamter in Goethe, could not have been fired. He was bitter that they did not offer his wife (a mistake in hindsight, though defensible at the time).
False. Goethe is a „Stiftungsuniversität“, Profs there are not Beamte, but Angestellte (with the salary being matched so that they earn approx. the same as a Beamte). Trudi was there for six months. Right before his six month trial period would have expired and his contract would have become permanent. What a coincidence...

You are providing falsehoods that it's already ridiculous. Profs there are
Beamte.
German women would certainly love to be in a lockdown with black soldiers...
From what I've heard from black soldiers, they like going to Germany because it is hard to keep the women off of them. I have also heard this from blacks who are not in the military but who have traveled to northern Europe.
Other servicemen also generally like being rotated to Germany, possibly for similar reasons. But black men are an exotic commodity there and get lots of attention.
