Where on the political spectrum are top German economists like Hellwig, Strausz, Adam, Modlovani, Falk, Schmidt?

I guess you have never read anything from these guys. I did not write, they are extreme left but they are left of center people. Hellwig and Adam are probably center, I would say, no idea about Strausz, Moldovanu or Schmidt.
Those guys seem pretty mainstream to me? How do you define center? Can you name a paper by one of them that is "left"?

Left of center = SPD, Greens
Right of center = CDU/CSU, FDP"(far) left" = Die Linke. Or more extreme = MLDP, Maoists, Communists etc.
"(far) right" = AfD. Or more extreme = NDP etc.I do not know any German economists that would qualify as "far left". However, I seem to vaguely remember there is a German party that is "far right" that was indeed founded by a group of influential German economists.

Stop debating with the right-wing trolls that have infiltrated this thread since a few years and who have too much time on their hands to push their agenda here

That is not true: most modern economists are on the left in Germany. Schularick, Suedekum, Krebs, Grimm, Falk, clearly to the left of center.
What is "left-wing" about them. The fact that they have talked to the SPD at one stage of their life. None of these guys wants the Quandts exploitated. So they cannot be "left-wing".

SPD = left-of-center? Since when? With agenda 2010 it is "right-of-center". Read political science papers about the qualification of German parties in an international setting.

Seriously? That is your definition of the left? You have clearly disqualified yourself from the discussion.
