   If German tanks enter Ukraine, it might trigger a general mobilization in Russia and a massive escalation of the war, which would not be confined to Ukraine. Have you considered that it might not be a great idea to escalate a war against a nuclear superpower? Most people have lost their mind over this.

   How would being on here help the FSB sway decisions in any way? This forum has effectively no decision making or policy influence.

    The only way to defeat the M1 is to attack the enormous supply convoy required to keep it moving. Given that Russia seems to have a hard time targeting anything smaller than an apartment complex or shopping mall, this seems difficult.

    What happens when the Russians bomb the train stations into the country rendering their delivery impossible

    The US is sending M1 tanks: 2000 have served in combat and NONE have been destroyed by enemy action.

    If they bring the M1s into Ukraine surrounded by babushkas, puppies and babies, then Russia will be able to successfully target it.

    If it's purely a military target behind UKR lines, RUS is completely incapable of hitting those.

    If you think about it from a strategic perspective, this announcement is not meant to discourage delivery of Leopard 2 or its ammo, which is a done deal. It might be meant to justify the use of tactical nukes as soon as Leopard 2 tanks are on the battlefield. Russia knows it cannot win a conventional war against NATO.
