I'm interested in a phd of finance, but have some questions. I had an average undergrad gpa, but now have a 4.0 in my MBA program(not Ivy League, top 25 though) and five years work experience. I saw some schools ask for your undergrad gpa. Given my circumstance - do I have a shot or does my undergrad gpa disqualify me?
Secondly, it's hard to find a list of school rankings other than the top 15 or so. Am I wasting my time if I don't get into a top 15 phd program? And if not is there somewhere a list ranking the "lesser" schools may be listed? If anyone could elaborate on the lifestyle of a "not top 15" ranked phd, that would be helpful as well as I'm merely an MBA idiot(read some forums for answers before posting and laughed at the MBA jabs)
