Summary: paper is published in the AER showing that jailtime reduces the chances of siblings and children go to jail.
GREfty starts a rant against the study because of its conclusions.

What is the takeaway from a study like this?
Like I am very very very VERY VERY VERRRY confused what kind of takeaway could be beneficial from THIS.
I skimmed the paper and honestly, the takeaway TO ME seems to be:
Parents that are locked up deter kids from being locked up, which seems to imply that we should lock up parents to prevent kids from being locked up later.
And that's not a great takeaway imo.
There's too much to unpack here. I actually want to sit down with the authors.
I'm sure she wants to sit down with the authors to call them r*cist.
GREfty doesn't care about the results. She admitted on Twitter she cares about the politics of the results. The takeaway isn't great because it doesn't agree with her political views.
We already have enough charlatans and strongly politically biased publishing in econ.
