I have.
Have you ever cried in front of your advisor?
-
Nope. I happened to handle my PhD quite carefully. I was also lucky that the problems I worked on gave results (three essay type dissertation) and all three papers were eventually published.
I do know many who worked on a problem for a couple of years, and then realized that was heading nowhere and quit.
Ultimately, you need a healthy dose of luck to get a worthwhile PhD done.

That must certainly create a great impression.
It did not affect our relationship either way you tool
You just keep telling yourself that you pathetic toddler.
If you go on to publish and
/Or place well your advisor will not think any worse of you, you miserable autistic pig -
I almost did once in a meeting with my advisor and another (more senior) faculty member. I was trying very hard not to cry at the end, though I'm sure it was obvious to them that I was about to cry. I ended up crying quietly in my cubicle a few minutes later.
Lol
