They will send you a rejection letter/email after all processes have finished.
so it is highly likely that I've been rejected but we have to wait others to accept the offer, then they send the rej letter?
This is the starting salary and it increases steadily in the future.
Moreover, it is much more stable than in tenure track in HK. For tenure track, the probability that you can't get tenure is pretty high. The teaching track is very low-paid and shrinking.
I second this. They just released the percentages of contract vs permanent staff at the universities, about 60-65% are on contract. From that you can work out an implied tenure rate if you assume there are two types: 6 years contract and out, and 6 years contract and 30 years tenure. The result is an implied tenure rate of under 10%. It actually could be even worse, because that doesn't take into account the fact that the older universities still have a bunch of people left over from the "good old days".
received the invitation to an interview for the economist position (http://www.hkma.gov.hk/eng/about-the-hkma/careers-hkma/recruitment/20180420-3.shtml)
anyone from previous rounds cares to share some experience of interviews and how many rounds of interviews?
