As if the GRE matters for hrm admissions
How long did you study for the GRE?

I took one practice test and got 169/170. I got 170/170/6.0 on the real thing. I also got an A in real analysis (I and II) as well as a 4.0 in a math major.
I've been rejected everywhere I've applied (waiting on one). Being an old man (late 30s) didn't help.
Funny thing is, the first rejection surprised me and the second upset me... but at this point, I really don't care. What attracted me to economics was that economics (in particular, late-stage capitalism) has always been the deeper problem behind the smaller, technical issues holding back society, science, culture, etc. What I've learned since then is that you can't actually study anything important (since most important work will invalidate 50 years of neoliberalism) until after you get tenure.
