My friends told me being a truck driver can make much more than a AP. Is it true?
How much do truck drivers make on average?

Check Indeed, one ad I saw last week for a contract was for $458,000/yr
Quite a lot of listings north of $300,000
They require a CDL A and 1+ YOEAre you sure?! Even a senior professor barely make that much.

Then why aren't more people going for these jobs? Lack of information?
It's a very demanding job mentally
Could you drive a massive truck 2000 hours a year?I understand it's demanding, but some people are willing to spend 16h per day looking at excel speadsheets in order to make similar money in banks. And some do even more boring and mind numbing activities like learning to code or learning economics.
Most well paid jobs are not easy.
The question is, why don't more of those people who are willing to make sacrifices for money, become truckers (assuming these values are correct)? And you don't even need to waste 50k per year in college. -

Unless you can start your own trucking firm with trucks, dispatchers, drivers etc., you won't get paid unless you drive
