yeah, support from academic colleagues are important, especially from those male APs as there are so few women in economics departments. If in the time of difficulties, you guys can come out to say NO and help your female colleagues, that would be a GREAT signal that we are united. This is what those mentally ill admin (MIA) fear.

Cannot agree with this more. This also applies to US schools. The registrar office lords it over me. They say things like "I am a very busy person" when I request a small change with the schedule. The school admin tries her best not to help. Always says NO to small things and I have to fight to get things done.
My frustration comes from:
Timetabling, very hostile environment to academic staffs even female colleagues with kids;
Issues related to research funding, personal annual funds. They are very stingy and can lecture you not to waste public funds as if I am stealing money for private use;
Office spaces. -
