^yes, the Dutch were a dynamic and open-minded people by the standards of 1680.
I hate the Dutch culture

Are you Dutch? You are the exact reason why there is so much complaining towards the Dutch.
I am surprised EJMR has banned you from posting such hateful words.gotta love these brown types complaining about wraycism. I am dreaming of a future in which EUROPE is 99% white again with only white Europeans allowed to have citizenship.

I just returned from a chinabro's phd graduation reception. He was kind enough to treat the faculty members and peer phd students to a buffet dinner in a chinese restaurant. Guess what happened, some Dutch professors brought the wifes and kids to the dinner and prepared no gift to the poor dude. Dutchbros, do you really have to behave like that?

To understand how Dutch universities have become money making machines, here are the prices for their "products":
1. Foe each PhD granted by a Dutch university, the department will receive 75k euros as the compensation. Each master student will earn less, about a few thousand euros depending on study programs and credits.
2. Each course will earn the department money by the number of enrollments. Students who fail exams will have to pay to take the re-sit. Note the average passing rate of courses is between 60%-80%.
3. To pass the evaluation, faculty members are expected to earn back the amount of money the university pays for the salary.

The compensation money comes from the Dutch government as their investments in higher education. You can imagine the incentive machanism. Nowadays Dutch universities like to recurit phd students from Asian, African, and Latin American countries where governments sponsor their native students to study abroad. In this way, Dutch universities do not have to pay the candidates any salary or stipend and will earn the 75k euros after four years. What a profitable business!

If you are lucky enough to be ever invited to a Dutch person's house, pay attention to how many biscuit they offer you and whether they put away the drinks and offer to pour the drink for you. If you are even luckier to be invited for dinner, remember to see whether your Dutch hosts count the potatoes they give you. No joke at all.

They are highly individualistic and belivev they have the right to do whatever they want in public. If you feel upset, then it is your problem. See the BBC article on this aspect of Dutch culture.
The things that shock me the most about that country:
-Noisy, loud people on the trains
-Adults drinking milk for lunch. WTF?
-Lunch = slice of bread + cheese + glass of milk
-Nobody seems to trust anybody
-Old people living in rental homes -
They treat international students very unfairly. Most of international students come here on their own government al funding and are thus not counted as Dutch employees. All the protections of employees have nothing to do with them. Some dutch universities even proposed not providing office space for foreign students.
The PhD stipends at Dutch universities are much lower than international standards as well. Some of them offer only 420 EUR a month.
