What's the point of staying in this profession? Why did I work so hard for this?
I'm about to get tenure and I hate every moment in this profession

*) More service
*) Minimum research (for AACSB accreditation) - two publications of any Cabell;s journal for every 5 yearsIf deadwoods refuse to do at all - Uni can revoke his/her tenure

I bailed at the end of my PhD to industry. So much happier once I realized no one GAF that I’m not a professor and I didn’t enjoy the academic life.
Some people enjoy it and that’s great for them. But academia has a way of tricking you into thinking that there are no other good options. That’s just not the case.
