Are all calls over by now? no more hope?
I got my letter of rejection today.
No, no, just thinking out loud of possible options in the future to enter the Fund. While I gathered a lot of info on EP, I know nothing about the mid-career
Hirevue, prelim panel interview, final panel interview. if you pass, you enter the pipeline and compete on the internal market for job openings. You have two years to find a job.
but they get paid well and have no issue with VISAs?
I strongly advise against applying to the Fund. Management is incompetent, staff has terrible morale, life expectancy of staff is lower than that of other white collar jobs and levels of stress are as high as in IB jobs that pay a lot more.
Can you elaborate ? What about researchI strongly advise against applying to the Fund. Management is incompetent, staff has terrible morale, life expectancy of staff is lower than that of other white collar jobs and levels of stress are as high as in IB jobs that pay a lot more.

Do not go to the IMF if you are interested in doing research. It would not count towards your performance review and in fact can even turn to a liability. The unhealthy vision is that "If you have time to do research then it means you are not attending to your operational duties in full."
There is nothing wrong in wanting to have a policy oriented career but be mindful that if that is not your call, you will be frustrated 100% of the time.
