I'll be in my 5th year in the fall. What happens if I apply for the EP in October, get an offer but my advisor does not approve graduation next year? I heard there are even some MAs and ABDs at the Fund, but the job descriptions say that I should graduate within 1 year. Would the offer get canceled if I can't graduate next year? Or, can I take one more year to do a dissertation defense while working as an EP?
Also, the description says I need three non-Fund staff references only. But I heard from an insider that I can get letters from IMF staff, and it will help me a lot (I worked as an RA at the Fund before). He says that I only need one or two letters from my school. Does anyone have clear information regarding this?
