got Finance PhD admission from both places, but can't decide which one to choose. Any suggestion? For doing your PhD, look at their placements. It's not even comparable. UT has placed at USC, Minnesota, Boston College, Emory, Utah, and this year at Ohio State.
Check Imperial's placement, not so impressive:

Austin is way better in terms of no matter the department or the program.Besides their previous success, just look at this year's job market: Jiang gets flyouts at almost all the top places, Weitzner has Stanford GSB and so on. Imperial candidates, on the other hand, suck on the market. The guy who was placed at UCSD accounting last year is actually from Paris-Dauphine not Imperial. Faculty at Imperial are improving, but they don't give a s**t about students. The traning is very weak too, that's why their students have to audit courses at LSE/LBS/UCL.
