Which field do you think most governments are hiring? Do you really think most people give two shits about your views about polisci or sociology? The people who write shit like this have their heads up their asses. The only people who think this shit are people who don't know how to interact with anyone except phd economist.

The non-macro ppl are free-riding on the macro ppl for good exit opportunities in the industry. Really, nobody gives a shit about your polisci research. The only reason why these companies/banks are hiring you is because you presented yourself as an economist and therefore they think you know something about interest rates - when in fact undergrads have a better grasp of the macro economy than you do.
