However, to the best of my knowledge, the QJE does not publish law books that are 400 pages long; therefore, it is unlikely that a law book which is 400 pages long was submitted to the QJE (my hypothesis is based on a model of manuscript submission with forward-looking agents). I believe that is strong enough evidence to refute your conjecture. Tell me how you think about that. - Ed
