   In basically every single paper I've seen published in the last 20 years, there's a section for which the author thanks commentators and Edward Glaeser is ALWAYS f*cking there. ALWAYS.

   Reads this paper on behavioral finance - boom - "Thanks ... Ed Glaeser, ... for their comments"

   Reads a paper on the role of federalism in China's political system - "We thank ... Ed Glaeser ... for their comments"

   Reads one of Fudenberg's paper on repeated games - "Thanks ... Ed Glaeser, ... for their comments"

   Reads a paper on foreign aid - "Thanks ... Ed Glaeser, ... for their comments"

   Reads some book on education policy - "Ed Glaeser provided many helpful comments.."

   Reads a paper on using a distorted probability measure for long-term risk pricing - "We thank ... Ed Glaeser ... for their comments"

   Reads a paper on social interactions - "I thank ... Ed Glaeser for providing useful comments"

   Reads a paper on the opium war in China - "We thank Ed Glaeser for spurring our interest in this topic"

   Reading this f*cking LAWTARD book on "pragmatism and democracy" right now, a 400 page tome on f*cking judicial decision-making, and "...we thank Ed Glaeser for helpful comments."

   Googling ""thank edward glaeser"" and "thank ed glaeser" alone turns out 300+ results, and that's only for cases where he's named the first among many commentators.

   Does this guy ever shut up about anything?

   OP, I believe the correct way of testing the hypothesis that "the things that Ed Glaeser hasn't commented on = 0" is to draw a random sample first. Let me know if it works.

    That is an interesting conjecture. However, to the best of my knowledge, the QJE does not publish law books that are 400 pages long; therefore, it is unlikely that a law book which is 400 pages long was submitted to the QJE (my hypothesis is based on a model of manuscript submission with forward-looking agents). I believe that is strong enough evidence to refute your conjecture. Tell me how you think about that.
