Yes. The problem with the previous title is the socioeconomics is often used by sociologists for very heterodox, qualitative stuff. JBEE is an effort to re-focus and re-brand.
Personally, I've picked up more buzz about JBEE than about ROBE/TD/JITE/EB/Kyklos. Maybe it's just the circles I'm in, but JBEE seems more relevant, the authors better known, and familiar working papers end up there. Decent editorial board, as well.JBEE was socio-econ (or something like that), right?
I dunno. I'd be hesitant to send stuff there. the impact factor is too low for my tastes and my chair wouldn't understand how it should get better.
