Only now stumbled onto this, having taken a lengthy break from ejmr. I agree with the folks in the beginning who pointed out the ridiculousness of the SOP of ecma here. I've been a witness to an eerily similar incident where a person finds that a published paper is incorrect, but since there is no fix in sight, they cannot get their comment published and the journal takes no action. No one cares even though everyone now has been made aware that a published paper has not a single correct result. It's just crickets.
And it's pretty crazy.
