I live in Chicago. You sound like you have not been here since BLM. Nowadays even the downtown and northern neighborhoods are not immune. I got carjacked myself in south loop last year.
I went to wikipedia and the violent crime rate for Miami is listed as 720.94 per 100K residents. For Chicago it's listed as 1,098.86 per 100K residents. I really think you people are just spewing Republican political talking points honestly. And yes, the crime in Chicago really is concentrated in certain portions of the city.Crime statistics for Chicago is extremely biased.
They don't classify most violent crimes as such and most of them don't even go on police reports these days.
They do all kinds of data massaging misclassifying crime incidents.
And, since 2020 it's been one non stop chaos all over the city and now it is moving to suburbs.
In fact, you have more chances to be carjacked at gunpoint at suburbs than in South Chicago.
You guys are shilling for really out of control criminals, massively released from prisons after 2020.
People are escaping from Illinois now first thing they get a chance.Sounds like you haven't been to Chicago or know people there. The downtown areas are packed with tourists. The middle-class neighborhoods are low-crime. It's really not different from other major cities in the US. There's a crime issue in many US urban areas but there's no conspiracy to hide crime in Chicago.
