I know several LACs have already made offers to their first choices.Yes, and some LACs will make multiple offers because there is some serious overlap among the candidates. Don't worry if you get a second-round fly-out offer because the LACs won't invite you unless they are seriously interested still.

I think he/she means worry in the sense of do not take it as a negative signal about how much they desire you. But face it, you were not in their top 3 choices. Some mix of over-shooting, misreading interest in the LAC life, genuine lack of fit, bad fly-out and/or targeting the same candidates as other LACs.

I mean, who knows? I have heard all of the above stories, from people at the very top LACs as well as way down the ranks, places you've never heard of.
If you are hanging on one LAC, I would not hold your breath. But if there are a couple, eh.. with some luck, you might hear something in a few weeks.

For LACs, the rule of thumb is that if you don't hear back within a week from the last flyout that the school had, then you are not their top choice. Just wait for the offer trickle down to you.
