That's definitely a good thing, and good that they are trying to supress it.
We don't want copycats to be influenced.That's the same excuse every authoritarian government turns to when they want to suppress news that isn't favorable to them.
In countries with the FOIA, these things will be exposed for everyone to read. And it's better in the long run, so teachers, parents, authorities will then have greater awareness on how students, kids, people exhibiting such tendencies are at greater risk of being radicalized.
If you keep all "bad things" in a small little box underground, out of the public eye, sooner or later it will turn to stab you in the back because the greater public won't be able to recognize future, similar "bad things" and take the necessary precautions to prevent future tragedies.
