All high income professionals, who used to live in deep blue states, are now fleeing this mess.
Literally everyone is either moving or considering moving to Texas/Florida

I moved in the opposite direction.
Tired of hurricanes, +100F days wit 99% humidity, and swarms of insects. You didn't have the A/C and nets in your home?
Of course. But unlike you, some people enjoy venturing outside from their basements.
Being able to enjoy outdoor activities is a major aspect of qualitative of life for folks who aren’t low-lQ inceIs.

Hurricanes come with such a long warning that its really not a big deal. Everyone hopes the hurricane destroys part of their house so they can use the insurance money to upgrade and remodel their homes on the cheap. Most of the time though it doesn't happen, so as long as you have a generator you can keep living your life.
Much worse are random and large events like earthquakes and tornados.

^ Reetard who thinks A/C prevents hurricanes from destroying your home every 3yrs.

New England we who temporarily lived in central TX here. It’s true that it’s hard to live well in NE if you want a nice house, schools you feel comfortable with, and have a healthy savings rate. TX allows you to do all of the above, but you don’t have the same amenities such has nice parks, woods trails, etc. Also, you will still need to pay for private school bc the public will likely make you concerned, but it is much cheaper than in NE. Even if liberal politics migrate to TX or FL, I doubt they will substantially change the state before you can raise your kids to adulthood. Also, these liberal politics are a function of post industrialization in NE. TX currently had cheap labor, quality education, and cheap land. Capitalists are moving firms there to exploit that. What has happened in NE and other ‘high COL’ areas in USA will also occur in TX, just maybe 20-30 years from now. History repeats itself.
