   There is a large correction in House Prices in London. On average listing prices in my area are 15-20% down, but people manage to get juicy discounts. My neighbor went for a terraced house that was listed in January for 3.5Mln, now listed for 2.5Mln and managed to get it for 1.87Mln

   In 2019/20 the crime rate in London stood at 101.48 crimes committed per thousand people. Since 2015/16 the crime rate in the United Kingdom capital has increased in every reporting year, with the steepest increase occurring between 2016/17 and 2017/18

   There is a large correction in House Prices in London. On average listing prices in my area are 15-20% down, but people manage to get juicy discounts. My neighbor went for a terraced house that was listed in January for 3.5Mln, now listed for 2.5Mln and managed to get it for 1.87Mln

   My spouse sister of my spouse works for a real estate agency. There is no market in central London, especially for rental places. We are planning to move next door to a flat that was listed at 5.5k and now goes for 3.5k

    All grossly overpriced even in today’s climate—except maybe the Chelsea terraced house (1st link). You simple don’t wanna pay for vicinities when you’re pretty much locked up at your house. But rents will by and large bounce back once we are back to normal living. And, that’s why sales prices didn’t take a big hit.

    They are delusional and don't accept we are down to a lower equilibrium rent. I remember my old Landlady who was selling her house for 900k before Brexit. She thought it was because we were "messy" when people were visiting. 4 years after the house is still on sale for 750k and she is in her grave

    Hard to accept losses. When you are used to getting 6k every month it's hard to cut down to 3k per month. They still hope things are going to improve

    LOL Boris has been a disaster for London Properties. Since Brexit prices were flat or down. Now they are in freefall with the botched response to Covid. Crime in Zones 2-5 does not help either

    I feel for my 1d10t1c colleagues who just bought overpriced flats in Shoreditch. They have to pay 6k monthly mortgage when I can rent the same property for 3k
