I've seen places where they have automated kiosks and it seems like the majority of people still want to talk to the cashier. I don't think replacement of service industry workers is going to happen all that quickly.

Custom orders that are cumbersome to input, unfamiliar with technology, want to have human contact, shorter lines at the cashier...
