   Asians are the highest earners by far of any race in US, and is way overrepresented in, e.g., tech compared to other races (including FB, Google, Microsoft etc.). Asians are not being discriminated against in the grand scheme of things at all and earn more than any other race and are considered the smartest race. Whites are being hit at for blacks and hispanics issues. This includes violence, threats and hate speech that Asians have largely avoided. Don't feel too sorry for yourself.

   This is simply not true. Asians are by no means more intelligent than whites overall, more likely the other way around. However, due to stereotyping it is perceived they are. For example, more whites in the UK obtain first class honours than Asians. People like you, and all that liked your post, prove my point. Asians are being favored and there is a sterotype that whites are of inferior intelligence, contrary to the facts:

   The term "Asian" in UK generally means Indian while it refers to East Asians in the US.

   The dynamics of being an Asian American is probably different than dynamics of being an Asian Brit.

   It would be interesting to see if there are similar statistics for the US.

   Closest I can find is SAT scores, which show a pretty large difference.

   They ascended the income ladder in 1 generation.

   Chinese came to the US and open some restaurant, and there kid goes on to become a doctor making 250k a year.

   That's not true. That INCLUDES Indians and South Asians who have score lower than whites. You can't lump them together. When we talk about Asians in NA we are referring to East Asians. Globally, East Asians do perform the best on both IQ tests on average and on PISA scores.

   I think he's triggered by the fact that it's known that East Asians do better in all types of standardized testing, including SAT. See below. He then uses a statistic that lumps together South Asians and East Asians.

    The thread only got so long because someone inevitably had to bring black systemic rac1sm into it and the thread degenerated into the usual discussion of whether various demographics are discriminated against, which has no end.

    The thread started out as well-meaning advice for someone who is clearly going through some psychological issues.

    A lot of Chinese propaganda here trying to argue they are superior by referring to performance in useless standardized tests (SAT and IQ). Russia probably would win average rating in Chess... so does that make Russians superior? Intelligence is not determined by test scores, but by actual accomplishments. I won't bother listing the lack of accomplishments of the Chinese people, the results (or lack thereof) clearly speak for themselves. What exactly have the Chinese innovated that was of use for the West? China and the Chinese have been net-takers of intellectual property and knowledge in any possible way exploiting institutions and companies of the West.

    I didn't qualify for diversity admissions, nor will I qualify for diversity hiring. I know I got underplaced in undergrad and PhD thanks to my skin color. People view my hard work as mechanical.     Dude, I've been there. I ended up at a UC, even though I had a significantly higher SAT I, SAT II, weighted GPA, and varsity sports than non-Asians in my school who got into Harvard, Yale, Stanfurd.

    Bottom line, there is no perk, except when we click up with AR-15s. Then we make our perks happen naturally. That's about what I've concluded after all these years.
