HBS biz econ accepts 2% while MIT econ accepts 5%. But I'm guessing the caliber of applicants is a bit higher at the latter?
More selective: HBS biz econ or MIT econ?

acceptance rate doesn't imply selectivity if the pool of applicants differs significantly. in those small programs, not a lot of people apply. in buz econ, having a 2% admissions rate while only having 6 admits means that you only have 300 applicants. that's only about a fourth of what the econ phd programs get (mit, harvard, stanford). it actually has a 8% admissions rate if all the econ applicants applied there, as the slots wouldn't grow.
think about it before posting crap.

What kind of math you are doing? If all applied, then the acceptance rate will now be 0.5% and it becomes even more selective with the same number of slots. Am I missing something? Are you a spin doctor or am I just dumb?
