I have spent quite a bit of time with Eurobros during the last year or two and I have consistently encountered the same issue: Europeans visiting America spend all of their time bashing America.
The irony is that they point out things, fast food as an example, that exist in their own country. They laugh at perceived weaknesses that exist in their own country 10x. And all the while, they harp on our bigoted leader, not realizing the hypocrisy.
My conclusion is thst the average European is nationalistic to the point ofabsurdity, racist, or both.
Honestly - ugly American abroad? You're kidding yourselves. Europeans are insufferable when visiting the US. Perhaps an inferiority complex?
