"The AFA Board of Directors is excited to announce that Antoinette Schoar of MIT will become the next executive editor of the Journal of Finance, effective *July 1, 2022*."
Is it normal to select the next EE a year in advance?I am curious, too.

mit has always been weak in asset pricing. what's the point of building a corp-inclined team like this? how's it good for finance as a profession?
when SN was the chief editor, he gave up ANY other positions. He truly sacrificed for our profession. But why is AS still NBER head and organizer?
