Based on the schools I’m tracking (only US R1 Econ academia), I get the feeling that we’re about 50% of the way through the market. Ignore the trolls that say all the top schools have called-at least 6-7 in the top 20 are pending, more in the top 50.
I hope you're right. I heard from 1-2 stars (VHRM, with top 5) that they have received invitations to almost all top places. But (i) this does not mean that all invitations of these schools are out and (ii) does not tell us much about lower schools... The top10 schools usually disregard 90% of all applications anyways depending on your institution unless they have you on their radar (which you would know if you were on it)
