No call is not bad at all. Now you’ll pull yourself out of this mess by force, get a proper job and work 9-5 like a normal human being. If you had gotten a call, you’d have stressed over it before attending the interview, stress more after the interview, and then if you got it, you’d be stressing yourself again for 6+ years over tenure, and then if you don’t, you’ll be starting the above-mentioned process late. So, it’s better to not have received a call.
