NYT: It’s Become Increasingly Hard for Males to Feel Good About Themselves

In econ/finance speak, men are high volatility stochastic processes, both due to biology and societal expectations.
Tradition, fathers, family, mentors, brotherhood would act as reflecting barriers to prevent boys from falling off.
Feminists have been systematically destroying all of those guardrails for boys, while coddling girls even more than traditional patriarchy.

Blmbo, that volatility is the reason you are able to enjoy life free from famine and pestilence. Lights, clean water, safe streets. This variance occurs across all species; it’s not something that’s unique to humans.

The mistake is men’s. I can’t believe I’m having to explain this deep fundamental concept to you. You should be in the kitchen chattering with fellow blmbos about how nice your new skirt looks, leaving the important stuff to men.

My GF says it's also getting harder for women these days because they are expected to go out and work while many of the chores and a large part of child-rearing still fall onto them.

Not all women want to be feminists, and they end up being worse off than they used to.

Guys start splitting the bills because it's now accepted that genders are more or less equal, and this emasculation of men and simultaneous effeminization of women destroys some of the sex dynamics and mutual attraction evolution planted into us.

My GF is happy being taken care of, and I am happy to take the lead. And man does this fuel our s3x drive! A man just needs to feel like he is in charge, and a woman is just better oiled if she is being wooed and charmed and led. Neither of us had previously experienced the joys of such a life.

The thing worth adding is, women are not ending up happy in our system either. Maybe at young age, girls are happier, better looked after and more optimistic than boys. But as they age, many women learn that careers are ultimately not that rewarding and they don't find suitable partners.
Men can be quite content in a happy quiet life with little money, even if their careers are not going well, but women as they age suffer. Use of antidepresent and self reported life satisfaction are clear on this: After age 30 women suffer more than men, and their happiness declines every decade.

Liberalism was a mistake.
By removing the moral constraints of Western society on behavior so that it could increase individual choice, it has led to people adopting harmful mindsets ("if I'm a successful professional, I will be happy") and lifestyles (casual sacks, binge drinking) that ended up making people unhappy.
A politically liberal society would only works with strong moral constraints, but liberalism aims to destroy moral constraints.

Recently there was a semi-viral thread on the communist reddit about what people think they will do after the revolution. Women said they would do things including baking cookies, teaching communism to young ones, looking after animals and children, gardening and providing listening and therapy services.

So let me get this straight - feminists are bad because they somehow "make it hard" for women who want to be homemakers to be homemakers? And because of this, we should return to pressuring all women to be homemakers so that the subset who do want to be homemakers have it easier.

Or - and try to stay with me on this - we could encourage everyone to find out for themselves which they prefer by keeping all doors open. How about that! But that would be feminism, so I guess we can't have that. Sad!

If you want to make an argument that women with high cognitive ability and low time preferences should voluntarily give up a lot in terms of freedom and standard of living because people without those things mess up their lives, tell me first what you're asking my male peers to give up. I'm not against the idea of collective responsibility to not screw over the left side of the bell curve, but that this always comes back to how women should be in the kitchen and not how men should make decisions that let them be married and supporting a family at 25 tells me that's not really what this is about.
