Any OECD bros out there?
I had a panel interview about 2 weeks ago. My Taleo account status was updated the day after the interview and withdraw button is still on. I was wondering whether I got sort of clearance or the job. I would welcome any opinion about an internal process after the interview or what my Taleo account is actually telling me.Anyone have an idea about that?
Did you receive any news from the HR?

Though I had another update a couple of days ago with the withdraw button being still on, I have yet to receive any news from the HR or the hiring unit. I'm not even sure whether I got a clearance for the position.

OECD employment process is a joke. In most cases, they have someone in their mind to hire but cannot do so directly as OECD uses public money and there are rules to follow. What they do is to open a position and do their best to hire this specific person. If they can hire this specific person, no problem; if not, they cancel the position and after a while announce the same position with a different job number hoping that this time less qualified people will apply and they can hire the person in their mind!
For example, positions 12847 and 12416 are exactly the same. They could not hire their guy first time, now they try for a second time...
Good luck!

In the past, I had written tests where you had to pick 2 or 3 questions among around 10 and answer it in detail. The questions ranged from current economic issues to more technical ones such as comparing administrative data to household surveys, etc. I made sure to keep up with the latest OECD reports and use information from those. But given the high volume of candidates from top tier schools / institutions, I'd suspect that at least half or more probably provide valid and well-written answers and in the end it could come down to who uses more OECD buzz words such as "inclusive growth", etc.
But as ff46 points out, if they already have someone in mind that they want to hire, this whole process may just be a formality and you may not make it through regardless of the accuracy and quality of your answers.
