OECD Positions (MAIN TOPIC)

Does anyone know how difficult it is to get consultant positions at the OECD? My partner has a master's but not that much relevant work experience. I am trying to figure out how easy it would be for both of us to relocate and be engaged professionally were I to get a position there.

I applied for a Labour Economist position. Has any of you applied for similar positions. I will take a written test but I don't know anything about the type of the questions they ask and how technical they are. Any suggestion is welcome.
I applied for the same Labour Economist position. Obviously, I can't give you the details, but it's not a very tough test tbh. If you know your field you will solve it easily.
Did you finish the test already?

Hey guys,
regarding the labour economist position. May I ask from what countries+what gender your are?
I have a PhD from a top 50 Uni, a solo-authored ReStat on a labour topic; a co-authored JoLE (obviously on labour) and a Journal of Public Economics plus some other pubs. Moreover, I have about 4 years of highly relevant policy experience. I was not even invited to the written test although I am convinced my profile must be extremely competitive. (Strangely, about two years ago, with less pubs and less experience, I was invited to the written test as a labour economist, but I did not pass, which I found weird.)
I honestly have the impression that without being a woman and/or being from an 'underrepresented' country one does not need to apply.Any thoughts?

I'm male and from a well-represented country, but was invited to the test. Rather than being discriminated against on the basis of your gender and nationality, it is much more likely that you are overqualified for that position given what you describe. Perhaps you should aim for a senior economist position instead... Do not make it all about gender like the rest of EJMR.

Looking for some insights from OECD insiders. When it describes wages as free from income tax, does that relate to all French taxes or only some?
ie. how to determine net salary?
