Why are some schools posting job ads on SSRN just a few days before Miami even though they are attending the rookie camp in person? Seems weird.
Probably because they were late to the hiring decision and, legally, they have to advertise the position for a certain number of days. And they might be considering candidates other than those at Miami.

Here we are, again talking about and playing with subjectivity, bias, hate, jealousy, competition, so its not just science, which I wish it was, and not as simple and clean as you try to portray it. Citations! What drive them? Not the value of the papers. It is mainly the journals where they are published and the influence of the authors. This is all circular. Citations tell us very little about the value of the publications. What have we really learned from them? Almost nothing!
