Is there is a ranking of Texas Accounting Departments?
Austin, Rice > TAMU > UTD > Houston > TCU, SMU, UTA, and others

I don’t think Houston has any summer support.
UT, Rice, UTD, TAMU, and Houston are serious players and pay the market. I would celebrate if I could land a job at any of them.

I won a FARS award. Should I list it on my CV? Let my department know? Or is it humble bragging?

This. Just put it on your CV. If/when it's important for internal reasons, it'll probably be an occasion where you anyway have to circulate your CV to senior colleagues.

Is it worth it to contact Wiley to discuss the situations with JAR? Wilely force the editors to make it a non-Chicago journal, but they very clearly just staffed the board with Chicago-linked people (e.g., LH, RWM, all the AEs, etc.). I support ending these school-club journals, and want Wilely to know that CL and the gang basically window-dressed the editorships.
