   Lets start our own journal! With blackjack and h****rs

   Is it worth it to contact Wiley to discuss the situations with JAR? Wilely force the editors to make it a non-Chicago journal, but they very clearly just staffed the board with Chicago-linked people (e.g., LH, RWM, all the AEs, etc.). I support ending these school-club journals, and want Wilely to know that CL and the gang basically window-dressed the editorships.

   If all schools ditched JAR and JAE we wouldn't have had such a dirty mfing situation.

   I got tenure and since then I start with CAR and all the way down. Never up again, and I try not to cite any from JAR, JAE and lately TAR too! There is so much damage to the system because of them and I hope at least APs wont help the JAR & JAE anymore. In addition to that I'm surprised TAR has picked some really mediocre editors.

   What does "support ending" means? You simply dont recognize them for tenure purposes and they are dead quick.

   Start trying RAST first too. I really do think we're close to having a top four (TAR, JAR
   JAE, RAST) rather than a top three, and that process will speed up as RAST becomes more of a 'journal of first submission'. RAST does have a bit of a taste function but also tends to have (imo) the fairest/best editorial process of good accounting journals.

   Issue with RAST is that it’s not a general interest journal. AJTP accepts more non audit papers then RAST accepts non financial papers.

    These public records are great. BM is actually low. JW, PH, and LH are all at $800k all in. Didn’t realize JS and BS are making $420k base. Dang. PhD students there get $55k a year. IU is legit.
