   Can someone explain to me why Aghion is so well regarded? I do not know that much about his research. Was at his inaugural lecture at the Collège de France; it seemed a mixed of trivial things and highly questionable stuff.

    Everyone these days is about random variation in the field. John List is the obvious choice. Maybe kremer with him? He did devo field experiments a few years after List and shogren/Reilly, but he was first in Devo.
