well, i thought it was a just rumor (that wharton went after someone they flew out last year). That's just weird.
Judging from the limited data available as it stands now: Even though quant candidates get more offers per candidate than CB, the percentage of quant candidates without an offer is also higher. Basically, a few top quant candidates are getting almost all the offers. So you might want to become a top-quant candidate to improve your chances, not just an average quant :)
