Can't the students just attend online?
Very small market next year. if you can delay graduation, you shouldOr get any job you can. You can always move. But there is no guarantee that 2022 is better than 2021.
If I were a phd student now I'd be learning the latest buzzwords and taking coding courses to gtfo to industry. Academia is done
