Did HBS and Yale make offers?HBS did not. They have one more fly out this week.
Who got the Yale offers?
Which top schools have better environment and are less political?
What's Stanford shock?Stanford should hire a female. They have not had a quant female for a decade. Why not DA?
I don’t know whatever happened to MD. She is not in academia anymore? MS survived Stanford shock.
My guess is SH will not make it there so they need women.
Seriously: Everyone talks about Stanford's Marketing Department...What's the real deal there? I have heard it's a very very difficult place to be in and survive? Is it just the pressure or some politics going on there...They tried to hire JJZ (MIT) and offered her a full professorship....still she didn't join!
It seems like pretty much any.

Why? You will choose among the offers accordingly? All schools are easy and difficult at the same tims

JJZ not wanting to leave MIT does not mean anything
MIT is a great place to be
I want to know what LRM have bad reputation. Such as which treat AP badly, have sexis/racist tenured people, or are overall terrible place to work? I'm guessing most people are willing to go to HRM with these problems even if it's just for a few years because there are more benefits to being at HRM. But people with LRM offer may have more then 1 offer and should be aware of which places are bad to work.
You must be jealous, dude. Peer comparison is not good. There are always some people who are lucky. Get used to it!
Not very impressive after tenure either, seems 5 A pub in 10 years.
How could he get tenure at that time??Come on. Before tenure, no A pub except a 3rd author econometrica which is not even alphabetical. Wondering what the first two authors think as he claimed credit. His students gave him A pub after tenure. Have to say better students
This is foolish. If you want to argue against his tenure case, you have to base it on what he did SINCE he got tenure. Tenure decisions should be about looking forward, not looking backward. Otherwise you're just a bean counter.

There are no bad places. There are old people.
