I suspect if Maryland/UBC/Cornell can find any good match at this stage.
Why are some schools still posting job ads? Isn't the market over already? Who do they expect to hire at this time of the year?

These are likely not rookie positions but advanced AP hires with a target in mind
I like DM a lot. But my guess is Yale has a bean count bar and she just didn't pass that - she published like 6 As in 11 years when she was up for tenure. And I suspect that Judy contributed much more to their most famous book review paper (in the end, DM is more of a theorist compared with JC.) As for JS, it is understandable that someone who purely does theory has less impact and citations. But of course, I think Yale made a huge mistake to kick out DM, and AO now.
That DM was not given tenure at Yale (she has written several of the most cited papers in marketing) but JS was immediately after tells you something already. Not a surprise if AO leaves Yale. Other quant females in top schools doing the same based on my market info. XL and AT may be the only two that will stay where they are.
Wonder why no major school gave DM an offer even as tenured associate, though she reached out to many prior to coming up for tenure at Full at Yale. And why it took her another 8 years to get Full at USC---and no other school reached out even after. There is a lot of information that the field and schools have and use (and with letter writers) beyond citations on some hit papers (which is clearly impressive for DM). Contrast that with the number of offers HY got from so many top schools.

What would be the point of this post? What is it that you are trying to gain by fabricating stories from nothing? How do you know no one gave her an offer? How do you know 8 years is not model at USC? More importantly, who cares. Stop with this nonsense.
Whatever problem you have in life that pushes you to post negative things about people without any material information, there are other ways to deal with it.

What do you mean by major school? USC is not top 10, but USC is a major school with some good theorists (Anthony Dukes, Max Wei). She may have location preferences for her husband and kids as well. So it is not clear to me at all that it is she can't move or she doesn't want to move.
And if you say because she is not in top 10, she does not deserve top 10. There are huge tons of people who are not in top 10 but deserve it, like AG or PM.

This is a website for rumors so just chill out. I don't know if what the previous poster said is true or not but I keep hearing (here and from other more credible sources) that DM is not exactly a great person, so I'm inclined to think there's some truth to it.
I don’t know if DM is a nice person or not, gossips or not. The citations are truly impressive, absolutely agree on that.
But I read the point that the initial post was making as not rumor or gossip. I thought it was amplifying a previous poster’s point that DM’s best empirical papers are with JC, who is really good at this kind of empirical methodology. The empirical papers with DG are not that strong, and one can easily see the differences in the writing style, this makes the attribution issue more salient.
So, not that surprising that top schools didn’t see DM as above the bar for tenure when she came up—so the idea that this was an open and shut case—and Yale made a huge mistake or other big schools didn’t pick up an obvious hire for tenure seems like a bit of a stretch. Everyone could have seen the large number of citations even then and reacted if they wanted to—as JHU did, given their needs.
Both seem to be good hires. Were TL and YK also PC's students that year? PC so effing strong
It’s a little weird that Washington offered both, not weird that they accepted.
I personally like the idea of going to a school with someone I know, I can see how it might be good for both of our productivity- which is good for the school too.
