The sad thing about marketing Ph.D. Is that marketing departments don’t protect their own PhDs. What’s the point of doing a PhD in marketing when you have to compete with economics, computer science, statistics, psychology, or IS PhDs. The protectionism is clearly stronger in other business fields, which can be bad thing for the filed but good thing for PhDs.
Huh? What other business fields do you have in mind? Sure, agreed on finance/accounting, but what else?

You're asking the people who are praying to be 2nd in line for Rochester, think about it. GG is not wrong to take his time, but also it's a pretty expected response from this board. Don't take it personally NW and GG.

I would choose Rochester because I don’t want to move my family to Harlem. Prestige isn’t everything.

I would choose Rochester because I don’t want to move my family to Harlem. Prestige isn’t everything.

If it’s so expected, why didn’t Rochester quickly extend an offer to the next in line knowing GG not going to take it?
