MRM candidate. I think if nothing else the document informs students in less prestigious undergrads, like non-flagship public, what it takes to actually compete in applications. I would have benefited from this when I was applying. I was lucky and got a department scholarship and could double my applications.
But it is interesting to think how this muddies the information when applying by allowing more mimicking.
