I am interested in international finance/macro finance, these are my two best options by now.
Princeton vs Berkeley Haas

I don't see why. This is definitely a legit question. Even if he/she revealed his/her identity, I wouldn't blame an offer holder to consider this question.
Remember you can out yourself with these questions. I recently met a prospective student with a choice set very similar to yours, and finance programs are small.

Berkeley?!? A s**tty state school being compared to the number one college in the world - one which can only potentially be challenged in prestige by Harvard, Yale, and Oxford?!?!???
GTFOOOO. You obviously don’t have a Princeton offer. If you did, you would NEVER EVER consider turning it down for a poverty ridden fcking state school.
If you really had a Princeton offer, as well as one from the dump that is Berkeley, comparing alumni, architecture, endowment fund, classiness of classmates, prestige, elite factor etc etc - you would, of course, come to the conclusion that you should never ever turn down Princeton

- Berkeley Econ faculty are very easy to access for Haas students (think Maggiori, Weber, etc. in the recent past) and conversely.
- Placement: Berkeley Econ/Haas placement >> Princeton in those fields. For instance, Berkeley had a huge macro cohort this year and they all did well.
- MANY current students at Berkeley have chosen it over Princeton.
