If students have to wear mask,they cannot talk. Why do they want to be in the classroom? This is ridiculous. Go online!
Because the only benefit of being in a classroom is to get students to talk...? Are you aware that in lots of big lecture theaters students are not even allowed to talk?

I am not sure what type of mask you have, but I have found it possible to talk in a mask. I think it would be difficult to teach an entire class in a mask, but if students are just talking occasionally such as to ask a question, it should be okay.
My favorite part of Daniels' screed in the WaPo was the Purdue Protection Pledge, whereby students promise to wear masks, socially distance, and avoid large gathering to protect faculty and staff. Daniels goes on to say that by taking the pledge they will prove the cynics wrong.
Perhaps he should return to government and replace the state auditing department with a pledge by taxpayers to pay all of their taxes, or eliminate police departments with a citizen pledge to refrain from lawbreaking.
