Reminder: THE best ranking of economics journals
-
According to Repec's 10 year discounted recursive ranking "Research Bulletin, State Bank of Pakistan" has an impact factor that is higher than "Games and Economic Behavior". This means that according to their recursive ranking a citation from the Research Bulletin from Pakistan has a higher weight. I am not a micro person but this is insane.
Why these guys do not want to exclude non-peer reviewed publications from calculations? Is it going to hurt some favorite journals? -
Ba***n is blamed for cross- citations, but does the RFS have two "babies RFS"?, are papers rejected from AER with recommendation to submit to others "babies journals?", Nature officially recommends to shift papers between journals,
are you sure that he is the one that leads this method?
Was he the first to manage several journals under one umbrella?
Maybe you have bad feeling now just that this cycle works against your system?
