MS>ROF>JFQA
US
Had a huge discussion with my colleague. We couldn’t agree.
Therefore we rely on the wisdom of the crowds at EJMR.
Please don’t take the top three in this ranking. Just interested in how you rank Management Science, Review of Finance and JFQA. Please state your ranking and whether you come from Europe or the US. :)
JFQA>MS>>>>>>>>>>>>RoF
Really, RoF is an issue for us. It's not even on our list of target journals. So it's worth less than JBF/JCF. It shouldn't be that way, frankly. I would put it on par with JBF/JCF, but I know people here seem to perceive that journal even higher. But I think our school is also wrong - it should have "some" value on a resume.
Tenured, top 50 USA.

And to clarify - I myself would put JFQA on an equal footing with MS. MS is a bit less strict empirically, but they want more polished stories. But our school definitely ranks JFQA above MS.
Deadwood detected. RF>JFQA

US, tenured at top 20. MS > JFQA marginally and we encourage our juniors to submit to MS after top 3. Look at the editorial team. Way better than JFQA, so papers are also better. But in terms of counting, MS=JFQA or MS is only marginally higher. RF is a good journal but in US we do not care about it much.
Top 15 tenured here. We rank RF>JFQA
