Please don’t take the top three in this ranking. Just interested in how you rank Management Science, Review of Finance and JFQA. Please state your ranking and whether you come from Europe or the US. :)
There is no answer to your question. Each department will rank these journals differently, depending on the structure of their business schools (e.g., if they offer a PhD in operational research), where other faculty publish, etc. To be safe think of it as: MS = RF = JFQA or RF = JFQA < MS in the sense that you can’t always have a strong case for MS, but you should always be able to argue that RF and JFQA are equal.
